Lovely dining room - casual feel, although it is a “white tablecloth” venue. Everything we ordered was superb. My daughter ordered medium done filet mignon. I had several veggie side dishes. My wife had a pasta dish. Our waiter - who bore enough of a resemblance to Elvis that I could imagine him being an impersonator, was helpful and friendly. The place had a pianist who played a variety of pieces with a soft, muted touch - perfect for the ambiance.

The food was wonderful, and our waiter Fred was so kind, funny, attentive, personable, and knowledgeable! Great place to enjoy our 20th anniversary! Would definitely recommend it!

Though the Salmon was perfectly grilled, the centerpiece of this restaurant is the Whitefish. Winning not only in taste but also in value. The fluffy potatoes seemed to blossom off the Whitefish framed by the grilled asparagus. Served on a wooden plank. Beautiful. Exceptional service, as well.

This place is pure elegance my friends took me to dine as a birthday gift and the experience was one to remember, Jacqueline our server was honestly one of the best servers I've ever had a genuine smile on her face this young lady was so welcoming her menu knowledge was top notch we basically went with all her recommendations n she did not lie everything was amazing we started with the bread board,crab cakes n springrolls , I had the steak the others had the roasted chicken the porkchop n the burger ❤💗😊everything thing was perfect hats off to the chefs . The pianist set the atmosphere he even played happy birthday for me lol all I can say is well done 1852 thank you Jacqueline 😊 you made our experience very enjoyable you are a star keep on smiling hun

Everything was great until we paid the bill. We have eaten many times at the 1852 Grill Room, and would give a 5 star every time we have been there. We pay with cash lately, because we don't agree with the convince fee for using credit card. We run a business, and accept credit card, and do not charge a fee just because we think it is wrong to do so. Nevertheless, if a service wants to charge that fee, it is their right, and we accept that. Anyway, we paid with cash and still got charged the convience fee. Did not realize it until we got back to our room. Or else we just got shorted change, which was the amount of the convience fee. We left a 25% top because the service and food and accommodation was so good. I will check my change closer from now on. Love the 1852 Grill room, and all the 906 group.

A must-go when in Mackinac Island!! Easily the best dinner we had. Everything cooked to perfection (steak especially was A+). The service was 5 star - Brian was the best! So accommodating and kind!! Will definitely be back!
